Style+Kitchen

Updating a rental's kitchen takes guts and budget control. It's hard to spend on a place that isn't yours, but at the same time, you want to live in a place you love TODAY. So when my client can't take any more of her kitchen, she decided its about time for a makeover.

To keep within budget, everything was left intact with just a minor (but major looking) renovation. Cabinets, walls, and ceilings were painted. New backsplash tile were added. Linoleum tile that were sealed with a top coat were laid over the existing tile. New lights were installed. And a shelving "contraption" were built to solve the cover-the-electrical-box problem. Teenage Dream

A teenage girl's bedroom should be colorful, happy, and full of life. Needless to say, this room needed a makeover. There's not a hint of a girl living in the "before" bedroom, except maybe for the pink memo board and the stuffed toys. We kept the bed but changed everything else. Vibrant colors were used in almost everything -art, table, tv stand, curtains, decors, and accessories. Girly elements were added through the chandeliers, furniture details, colors, prints, and patterns. The end result is playful and very age appropriate. Heck, I even want this room and I'm pretty sure I'm way past my teen. :) See makeover details here.

We redid the bathroom too! See story here
