House of Femme

The project name says it all.. this space is for femmes, ladies, girls, no boys allowed. Haha.. Not literally of course, but this space are for two sisters so I didn't held off any of my girly design instincts. Inspiration is French chic. You'll find ornate details and pops of colors everywhere.

I did two spaces for this home, the living / dining and the bedroom. Both have the same design elements, but the latter is bit more casual. Check out all the progress and details here.

Style+Kitchen

Updating a rental's kitchen takes guts and budget control. It's hard to spend on a place that isn't yours, but at the same time, you want to live in a place you love TODAY. So when my client can't take any more of her kitchen, she decided its about time for a makeover.

To keep within budget, everything was left intact with just a minor (but major looking) renovation. Cabinets, walls, and ceilings were painted. New backsplash tile were added. Linoleum tile that were sealed with a top coat were laid over the existing tile. New lights were installed. And a shelving "contraption" were built to solve the cover-the-electrical-box problem. Teenage Dream

A teenage girl's bedroom should be colorful, happy, and full of life. Needless to say, this room needed a makeover. There's not a hint of a girl living in the "before" bedroom, except maybe for the pink memo board and the stuffed toys. We kept the bed but changed everything else. Vibrant colors were used in almost everything -art, table, tv stand, curtains, decors, and accessories. Girly elements were added through the chandeliers, furniture details, colors, prints, and patterns. The end result is playful and very age appropriate. Heck, I even want this room and I'm pretty sure I'm way past my teen. :) See makeover details here.

We redid the bathroom too! See story here

Fashion Designer's Lounge Pad

This project started with a brand new studio unit with just the basic furnishes. The client wanted to upgrade his unit into a place where he can relax and have friends over. The only request he had is to enclosed the kitchen, add more storage, and have a neutral masculine lounge vibe to the place. To achieve that look, I used neutral but very bold textured wallpaper as an accent wall. It totally carried the whole look of the space. Cabinetries, media unit, and shelves span one wall. The kitchen received an upgrade as well with the new shelves and sliding doors. We had furniture custom-made to fit the limited space. Read the progress and whole story here.

Real Makeover December 2011

This is my very first, and hopefully not the last :), makeover for Real Living. The house is in desperate need of attention to provide a more comfortable living space for a much deserving couple. Lots of unnecessary stuff were removed, old furniture were updated, and colors were added. See entire story here.
