Updating a rental's kitchen takes guts and budget control. It's hard to spend on a place that isn't yours, but at the same time, you want to live in a place you love TODAY. So when my client can't take any more of her kitchen, she decided its about time for a makeover.
To keep within budget, everything was left intact with just a minor (but major looking) renovation. Cabinets, walls, and ceilings were painted. New backsplash tile were added. Linoleum tile that were sealed with a top coat were laid over the existing tile. New lights were installed. And a shelving "contraption" were built to solve the cover-the-electrical-box problem.
